Story said to involve Senator.... (US Senators up for Re-election in 2012 ) Jon Kyl, Republican Senator from Arizona Dianne Feinstein, Democratic Senator from California Joseph Lieberman, Independent Senator from Connecticut Thomas Carper, Democratic Senator from Delaware Bill Nelson, Democratic Senator from Florida Daniel Akaka, Democratic Senator from Hawaii Richard Lugar, Republican Senator from Indiana Olympia Snowe, Republican Senator from Maine Benjamin Cardin, Democratic Senator from Maryland Scott Brown, Republican Senator from Massachusetts Debbie Stabenow, Democratic Senator from Michigan Amy Klobuchar, Democratic Senator from Minnesota Roger Wicker, Republican Senator from Mississippi Claire McCaskill, Democratic Senator from Missouri Jon Tester, Democratic Senator from Montana Ben Nelson, Democratic Senator from Nebraska John Ensign / (replaced by Dean Heller, Republican Senator from Nevada Robert Menendez, Democratic Senator from New Jersey Jeff Bingaman, Democratic Senator from New Mexico Gillibrand, Democratic Senator from New York Kent Conrad, Democratic Senator from North Dakota Robert Casey, Jr., Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania Sherrod Brown, Democratic Senator from Ohio Sheldon Whitehouse, Democratic Senator from Rhode Island Bob Corker, Republican Senator from Tennessee Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican Senator from Texas Orrin Hatch, Republican Senator from Utah Bernard Sanders, Independent Senator from Vermont Jim Webb, Democratic Senator from Virginia Maria Cantwell, Democratic Senator from Washington Carte Goodwin, Democratic Senator from West Virginia Herb Kohl, Democratic Senator from Wisconsin John Barrasso, Republican Senator from Wyoming someone check me on that list Out of that lot I'll pick Webb, for no particular reason. I think Ben Nelson from Nebraska is done and two other candidates are vying for his seat. This list sucks. Goodwin was a place holder; Manchin has the seat. Akaka, Ben Nelson, Kyl, Lieberman, Lugar, Snowe, Conrad, KBH, Webb, and Kohl are already leaving. I would be further surprised if its any of the women (McCaskill would be hysterical, as would Stabenow). The only "powerful" ones on that list after that (seniority wise) would be Brown (close race), Casey (very close race) or Menendez (not so much, but it would be huge if he was in the islands with hookers while NJ was getting Sandy'ed). Assuming, of course, that it actually is someone up this cycle. I'm going with Schumer. |

I bet it is Sherrod Brown in Ohio....the swing state. I with you on this one... He was going down anyways. |

How is this important to either campaign? if its not any of the candidates, and it won't be, what's the fucking point? I don't see it impacting the presidential election either way. Local campaign, yeah, but small potatoes, even if it does change the Senate look a bit.

BILL NELSON FL! He has beaucoup senority. That would be shocking, on many levels. |

Quoted: Even if Schumer banged a koala bear, he would still get re-elected. Gotta be somewhere that people can be influenced by infidelity, that means flyover states. Maybe Ohio, maybe Wisconsin... Lot of those Senators do not strike me as 'powerful', only a handful are A-list celebrity Senators. The rest are just, well, just sorta there. Missed that blurb in the news about Elliot Spitzer did ya? |

It's gonna be a vid of a senator whipping a general in chains all the while yelling at him "you WILL call me senator! *slap!*"

Over at dailykos the suggestion is Menendez. He's divorced. How can you have a scandal if you are single? Gotta be someone married. Picture perfect, but turns out he's a scumbag. Like Edwards. |

Missed that blurb in the news about Elliot Spitzer did ya? Spitzer got nailed *so to speak* because he was a hypocrite who burned a lot of people on the way up. Plus he put all the other clients on the hooker list at risk. But you are correct, he did cheat, and his dumb wife didn't kick him out on the street (if she had, NY would have elected her Governor) His greatest disgrace was being one of the biggest failures at FAIL central: CNN |

If he took free flights, lodging, and hookers, it becomes a pretty serious campaign finance and/or Senate ethics rules problem. DOJ-referral type stuff. |

Maybe he is a pedo. Good rumor. Would also explain the divorce. We still need more conjecture. We'll never get to 10 pages before the answer is announced. What about critters? Have their been any rumours of 'barnyard fun' on the Potomac? |
