Here we go. The question now is will they top themselves and how quick most will forget. Gotta love a free market.

I would never even consider it. But it's because there are so many better people to deal with. AIM, Wideners, etc. etc. etc. etc. all have better customer service, better prices, etc. CtD just generally sucks and preys on hillbillies who don't know any better.

OK...insert whatever word you want to describe "arbitrarily raising prices to rape your customer base and losing business".

There was no lack of supply when CTD raised their prices. Free market capitalism also confers to us the freedom to tell CTD to play hide-and-go-fuck-themselves. So what word should we use to describe their behavior last election? Whatever word you choose, it applies to both CTD and Spike's.

And there's no such thing as price gouging.  If you feel something is not worth a particular price, don't buy it!

Hey, is CTD still in business?

Buy somewhere else if you don't like their prices. Duh!

They wouldn't do it if it didn't work.

Capitalism, how does it work??

If there was no lack of supply (need proof, please), do you think them hiking prices cause a drop in demand?

If there was a drop in demand, do you think they had more revenue from hiking their prices, had less revenue or were they revenue neutral?

The word you should use to describe their behavior is actually a phase –– "BAD BUSINESS DECISION"

A thought just came to me:  People that claim businesses are gouging really want to say that they expect a business to sell them a good at a price they set themselves.  Plain and simple.

ETA: Also, you that cry about "gouging" need to consider that EVERYONE in the supply chain will recognize the factors that drive DEMAND, and each of them will adjust their prices accordingly.

Geez, even arfcom is full of tards that don't understand basic economic principles.

Why would someone who was smart enough to avoid paying scalper prices be pissed at a scalper who took advantage of a buying frenzy. If a person was so desperate to buy a gun that they mobbed the scalper demanding whatever was for sale is it the scalper's fault or the buyer?

Raising prices due to demand is not going to piss me off. Those who own a business know you make money when you can. CTD even told folks (accidentally) they were getting screwed with their negative savings rate calculator.

They did no such thing. They wanted more profit from a market reacting to a scare. That is the point of a business... to make profits.

At no point was the public held to buy from them in any way. There is no word to use except Capitalism because that is exactly what Capitalism is...and its fucking awesome.

Sure, tell them to go fuck themselves but don't accuse them of something that is a bullshit liberal talking point.

I'll be the first to admit I made good coin by selling my pre-ban mags to people in states that couldn't buy the new stuff. Both parties came out ahead.

If my business is about to potentially end because some ass hat is being elected and will ban my products then fuck you if you think I will not try to maximize my profits in a market that will bear it on my way to extinction.

Some of you sound like socialist by your comments.

I bought 200 rounds of ammo from CTD yesterday, (100 .45 and 100.9mm). 50 rounds of the .9mm was +P and at the time I didnt realize that my wife's LC9 does not like +P. So I emailed customer service to see about changing the order but they replied that they did not stop the order in time to make the change but that they would go ahead and send an additional 50 rounds of regular .9mm for free.

I can't complain about that.

I agree 100% but it's more like calling it price gouging because everyone understands the point your trying to get across.

Like saying Crescent Wrench or Skill Saw when your talking about an open ended adjustable wrench or circular saw.
