...its on-going comparisons here to Dies the Fire, and other recent sci fi threads....a sci fi hypothetical for you.

In tonights Revolution premier theres apparently one guy who knows ahead of time that something is going to happen, since we see him warning others and downloading to a thumbdrive some apparently critical info....

Lets say you live in Stirlings Island in the Sea of Time/ Dies the Fire universe.

You have enough advance warning time to get your self onto Nantucket with 24 hours to spare ( in other words, travel time doesn't count, for those who live further away...you'll still get there with 24 hours to go ). This means you don't have time to buy a house, build a bunker, import a ton of supplies, etc

Do you go knowing that its a one way trip and you'll be thrown thousands of years into the past, or do you stay on this side of the bubble and consign yourself to the Dies the Fire modern universe where nothing works anymore.

Keep in mind that as soon as they're thrown back in time, one of the first move of the Nantucket leadership is to seize everyones guns, which then get blown to bits by radicals.

Would you warn family and friends to come with you, risking the chance of being deemed a nutcase and tossed into a padded room and missing the window to get to Nantucket in time ( no pun intended )

If I went to Nantucket, I would be a nutcase.
Don't confuse where I live with where I'm from.
