They Tapco fucked it What's wrong with you people? They took an excellent GPMG, arguably the best in the world, and made it better, more up to date and user friendly. But hey, since they took the wood off and put a more effective stock and some rails for mounting force multipliers lime optics, IR lasers and lights etc... They ruined it right? What world do you people live in? Having worked with real life UKM-2000s in Afghanistan along side standard PKMs, they are outstanding weapons and the Poles are doing some great work in upgrading their older COMBLOCK weapons. I just wish we could get parts kits here. I'd love a semi to go with my RPD. |

They Tapco fucked it Yeah! Ergonomics and the ability to add optics are for chumps! |

They Tapco fucked it I was under the impression that to "Tapco-fuck" something, you have to take it from useful, to less useful by adding unnecessary items that degrade the purpose of the firearm. What, pray tell, makes that firearm less effective than the original version? |

LMAO at people who don't know a well thought-out weapon when they see one

What, pray tell, makes that firearm less effective than the original version? Whats wrong with the PKM? Besides that it's in 7.62x54R with non disintegrating belts stored in metal cans, it has difficult ergonomics, wooden stocks, and it's difficult to mount optics on it? Not too much. Now, if you were asking what's wrong with the UKM-2000, that would be a better question, but regardless, I don't see an improvement on this one that doesn't help the gun and its employment. |

Why does everything need rails covering every square inch these days?

Why does everything need rails covering every square inch these days? Because rails serve a purpose for military users. If you're only using your guns to play games with, you don't need them. |

Why does everything need rails covering every square inch these days? To put things on it. You know, optics, lasers, lights, vert grips, etc. Stuff the military actually uses every day. |

I'm currently there. (MSPO) http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/mspo.jpg Its a pretty neat platform, too bad they don't really have much interest in making a semi. But I'm meeting with them tomorrow about the beryls we are bringing back, so I'll ask them again just for arfcom. Say what? |

It'll start being a good bit colder, but shouldn't be quite so bad. It's a great city, lots of interesting places to go. I'd suggest the military history museum at the very least, as well as a trip to the palace of culture. They are going to tare it down, so I'd strongly suggest taking a look at it. Old town is also very interesting. Lots of small family restaurants to eat at. If you hadn't seen my thread there is more info Here |

Quoted: Why does everything need rails covering every square inch these days? Because that gun is not some amateur hour toy. It's made to shoot at people, and shoot at people effectively, and be used by people who will actually be shooting at people in combat. When you can see, accurately target, point out who you're shooting at to others on your side, day and night, it makes the job easier, and you safer. If you don't need that, you don't need all the rails. |
