OKay, some of you remember my cz 527 I had a few months ago that I was excited about. It's in 7.62x39 caliber.

You can check out this thread here:

Old cz 527 thread

Well, I could never beat 1.25 MOA with 5 shot strings and I got horrible MOA with some ammo. I also got a lot of FTF and FTF (Feed and fire) with steel ammo which this gun was designed around cheap steel ammo.

Well, I sent it back to CZ, they called me up and said if any of their guns shoot 2 MOA or more they will replace them as they're guaranteed to be under 2 MOA.

So, they sent me a new rifle free of charge and here she is.

Range report later this week!!! Hopefully she'll be better than the last one. We shall see.

It's not the gun, it's the crap ammo you are feeding it. Seriously, you can't expect superb accuracy with steel cased ammo and 2nd rate bullets.

You gotta love CZ.

That's a beautiful rifle.

You think they just swap out guns without testing for problems first?

for what its worth, we had several of those come back to the shop and go back to CZ for lack of accuracy, just like you are describing. none were ever great shooters. hopefully yours is different though! good luck!

I don't know what their internal policy is, maybe they just wanted to make him happy and shipped him another gun? They do test fire these at the factory. Here is me shooting a CZ 750 at the factory in Uhersky Brod.

I wonder what it would take to get one in .300 blackout?

Ideas?

Well?

I ended up putting a scope on mine,  the sights were pretty far off.    But  I had some 30 packs of brass cased Lapua 7.62x39 left ( back when it was 5$ a box )   @ 50 and 100 it was about 1MOA        It is by no means a match rifle,  but it is a fun plinking gun and still pretty cheap to shoot.

*disclaimer––   The lapua claims to be non corrosive,  but a few days later my bore rusted to shit.      I ended up filling with CLP, brushing the hell out of it,  then fire lapping it.     Thankfully I managed to save it,

THIS*100000000000000

What do you expect from crappy ammo?????

Mine does shoot slightly subMOA at 100 meters with LAPUA Boxer primed ammo ( good thing I was able to secure over 3000 rounds of it for a great price from a guy who just did not want them anymore for his AK clone *LOL* )

The Lapua Boxer primed stuff definitely is non corrosive. Be careful as there was some Lapua BERDAN primed milspec stuff floating around back then as well.
As it was made to 1970/80s Combloc Milspec I would think that it was corrosive. But then I never used them, only the commercial boxer primed stuff which imho is the best 7,62x39 you can get.

Bittersweet.

Had only a few fail to fire but after I spec ting the ammo, the bullets were sticking out of the casing.

I had a hell of a time with the scope, spent 90% of the time trying to get the scope straight.

Gave up, shot it irons. Hit steel torso targets at 430yd pretty easy.

Did not try to shoot for accuracy u fil I get a bores cope.

Sorry for the wait. I'll shoot for accuracy soon.

Plus, savage arms was at the range and I got to fire some of their guns, I had a blast with their .300 win mag rifle. The brake on it had less recoil than a reg. muzzle .308.
