I posted this on the "favorite gun song" thread, but figured it deserved it's own. Check out their website at: http://www.pokerface.com Or at least listen to the song, you won't regret it: Poker Face Rather Die Than Be Your Slave http://www.pokerface.com/pfr.ram I do not wish this life to pass away But life presents such possibilities - each and every day I heard a calling that was right for me I prayed for strength for what's ahead of me Please show me the way The sun rose high and burnt the night away Who stood before me was my enemy - don't tread on me He's come to take away my liberties I'd rather die than be a slave to thee - don't treat me this way I'd rather die than be your slave I will survive, and you'll feel my rage It's not a question of being brave I'd rather die, than be your slave It didn't matter who shot first that day They killed my brothers, they lay dead by me - I'm covered in their blood We hit them hard, we made them pay that day We hung the traitors from the highest trees - no mercy from me We lost a lot, our pain was heavy We sacrificed for GOD and country - no more colony Still held the ground that was in front of me The was our price to pay for liberty - still you hear me say I'd rather die than be your slave I will survive, and you'll feel my rage It's not a question of being brave I'd rather die, than be your slave Much time has past, we repeat history Our toys have changed while man has stayed the same - evil in his ways Tribal families rule not over me I will not let them rape my liberties - we'll die for them today I'd rather die than be your slave I will survive, and you'll feel my rage It's not a question of being brave I'd rather die, than be your slave

Pokerface is a great gun supporting group. I have seen them twice in DC. Once at the SAS counter-march last year and again at the march for Liberty. They perform for free supporting your gun rights. Support them if you can. A few pics of them here: http://www.marchforliberty.org/mfl2report.htm A pic of me and my wife there too can you guess which one?

I saw them at the first MFL in 1999 and at the First Freedom in the Valley Rally last fall, and in NYC a few weeks back. They're always great! I'm trying to get them a few gigs up here in CT. We'll see how it goes.

I give up. Which one? I'm disappointed that the MFL banner we made for 1999 wasn't there again in 2000. Did Joanie-F not show up? She brought it home with her and was charged with returning with it every year. [:)]

7th group down on the right, center TRT t-shirts. Anyway I'm not sure if she was there or not. I'm very bad at remembering names. There were a few women speakers there though. Was windy and cool so I think that hurt it some besides the fact that I really hate going into DC. While the pics don't show it it was very windy and she may have had trouble getting up the banner as we had a heck of a time getting the RKBA banner to stay up (large).
