Fuckin' amazing Hanz!  My first experience with the Adirondacks was in the scouts back in '93 where we spent a good deal of time in Long Lake (we were a troop from NH).  We made plenty of trips to the surrounding area, and I don't need to reference my journal from 11 years ago to know I visited Hitchins Pond and spent the night there with nothing but a space blanket, my knife and 2 matches.  Thanks for sharing and allowing me to revisit an amazing part of my youth.

I'm glad the photo spurred that memory for you.  I'm very pleased with that shot.  I was canoe camping and had a great time.  The Adirondacks are truly special.

I think that in order to make a 16384, one would need a bigger board or just perfect tile drop.

I started playing Sumico now. I like that one.

It really is beautiful - My photos don't do it justice.

I'm grateful Adirondack Park was created in 1892 and still exists.  September is a great time to go, you'll likely miss the crowds and the bugs.
