Not my picture, but one my son sent me. He moved to Oregon the day after Christmas. We made the drive together, then I flew home. He’s a great kid. He was my concert buddy. I really miss having him around and listening to him play his guitar. His older sister died in 2022 (see my sigline), so the last 16 months have been hard for all of us. He sent me this picture on a hike last week and it warmed my heart. I haven’t seen him smile since he lost his sister.
I’m especially proud of how he’s staying in touch with his mother. After losing our daughter, she’s having an extremely difficult time dealing with him moving away. He calls her at least twice a day, often just having enough time between shifts to say, “Hi Mom, love you, gotta go”. I never told him she needed that, he just knows.  Attached File |
