I'm going to see her at Thunder over Michigan.  I'm a member of the YAF.  Took a ride in our B-17 Yankee Lady a few years back.  I'm seriously thinking about crossing a B-29 ride off my bucket list.

She was flying over north Texas on thrusday.  It makes a sound that is very unmistakable. If you hear a odd sound prop plan its FiFi

I've been inside of her (The Salem AP is a regular stop for them) but I never ponied-up for the ride.

Now imagine you're in WWII Japan with a few hundred  B-17s, B-24s and B-29s overhead  with their bomb bay doors are open.

it's kind of scary how many of our specialty tools worked on her.

Go for it. It's the only air worthy B-29 and you may not get a 2nd chance.

I may try to hit the show in Midland in October.  As a 'secondary mission', I may find a spot with my roommate so we can set up his 8" telescope and check out the night sky.  Jupiter may be up a bit earlier by that time of year.

You can tell those planes weren't meant to survive long.  We had to jack the wing and partially detach it from the fuselage to replace a fuel pump.

Got to take a ride in a B17 a few years ago. Aluminum Overcast was in Lebanon, Tenn. Wife bought me the ride. It was awesome.
FiFi will be near me at Lexington, Ky. so it looks like a short ride up I-75 is in order.

I'm riding in Aluminum Overcast August 15th.  Can't wait.
