Does it give you a reach around standard or do you pay extra for that kind of action?

I hate they always show these high end safes full of fudd guns.  Nothing against those guys... but just once it would be cool to see one full of black rifles.

theres one that made me mess in my pants in the safe thread.  I mean glued to my leg status.  I don't know if he has this monster model here (the biggest one they make)

He literally has a Barret .50 in it, a SCAR, P90, AUG,AK A2 ARs out the ass, FNP and other stuff i can't even remember in it.  It was hardcore gun porn i've ever seen.  Can't link it and break opsec on his ass though cuz arfcom will hate me

From the look of the guns. The safe is more valuable than what it is supposed to protect.

How is a person to move that monster without taking off the door.

That's practically a walk-in model, I like it.

I want to build a house with a vault in the basement.

Cabelas had some 48 gun safes for around $1100 here recently, getting both of them in the truck was a bitch

Also is easier to take out the shelves and stand them up in the corner, alternating stock/barrel down, fits more that way.

Pallet jacks are good for about 5k lbs.

For $5k, you can get a TL-30 of nearly comparable size.  You might even be able to pick up a used TL-30x6 if you have the patience.

But, hey, the above mentioned safes are only rated to 30 minutes, and not the "5 hours" of a Liberty.

moving my 500lb safe into my house a few weeks ago was a pain in the ass. I can't imagine trying to get a 2000lb+ safe into the house, I doubt the floor would even support it.

Ouch. For $5k, you can almost build a vault in your home. Probably even less if plan it while you're pouring/building the basement.

I don't think I could justify $5k on a safe.

Yup..And all that means shit when someone puts a gun

it or else. Some safes are just overkill for what you pay vs.
what you need.

And what is it rated?  A strong looking safe is inferior if it is B or C or RSC rated.  Only a TL or higher rated safe gives maximum protection and maximum insurability.

I don't know the safe rating, but I would bet my left nut its the highest available to earn.

I'm also not a salesman and I don't care if you choose another brand but for the comments about weight and space....they will install it for you and they have a battery operated dolly they use on stairs.  There is a guy in the review of the high end model who talks about how they used it to get it down in his basement.

I don't know how they do it all....all i know is I want the magnum unless there is some amazing walk in vault you can buy or rival safe that is better someone knows about.....even then though, how much is a good vault door?  Sure we don't NEED a vault, who cares though.   Tis better to have and not need than to need and not have.  The bad part about this is the wife or even the close family might want to store some things.  $59.95 a month for that though

Btw to the person who asked about the dial and lock.  thats standard.

I like how they have the cash displayed.  That's how I usually store my money in a safe too...

Why would it matter? It's 1,500 lbs and too big to fit through a standard doorway. It basically has to go in a garage or basement, and taking the door off won't really matter at that size and weight.

Nowhere near.

Everything Liberty Sells is UL listed as "RSC". Residential Security Container. This is the lowest standard, and simply requires that the container not be able to be opened to be able to get something out of the container (a 6" hole or opening) by a two-man team using hand tools in less than five minutes.

That's it. If your safe withstands 5 minutes of manual tool attack, then it gets UL listed as an RSC. Doesn't matter if it cost $1000 or $5000. You basically paid for some additional fire insulation, some thicker (but essentially ineffective) steel, and a glossier paint job.

TL-15 (tool 15 minutes) TL-30 (Tool 30 minutes) and TL-30x6 (tool, 30 minutes on each of the six sides) are the increasing scales.

Currently AMSEC makes the only UL Listed TL-15 and TL-30 fire resistant gunsafes with their HS series. the HS 7943 is 79" x 43" x 29.5" exterior dimensions (yeah, it's fucking huge) and weighs almost 7,000 lbs. That, is a safe.

So much wasted space in there.   With a little more ingenuity, they could easily fit about 40 pistols on the door.
