AKs are garbage. They belong in a garbage can.
They were designed by a man obviously brain damaged by getting blown up in a soviet garbage can on wheels. The myth of AKs ruggedness belongs in a garbage can, as it is, garbage. There is a reason that dude found crates of them abandoned in the woods, because even Russians dont want that garbage. With crowds becoming angry at the sight of such a large collection of crappy, inaccurate weapons, locals have become impatient with the rate of their disposal. "I will not be happy until I see these AK's in a garbage can!" shouted Muqmuk Zamsir. It's funny how Afghans and Iraqis who were born into that Kalashnikov culture. Value the M16 and M4 like it is the greatest thing ever invented.
I love my AK74, but I suffer no delusions that it is the best rifle ever made. Each has it's own advantages. There is no perfect rifle. |

during a 3 week surge, we were out on patrol EVERY DAY for about 20 hours, sometimes more. We got maybe 3 or 4 hours rack time for 3 whole weeks.
we had almost no time at all to do any maintenance on our M4s. But on the 3rd week, we got into one fire fight, where 6 different guys in my platoon were shooting. All using the M4, all of them functioned, DESPITE having dust covering the whole weapon and DESPITE not having almost any time to regularly clean them. Anybody who says the M4 or M16 isn't reliable enough to stake your life on, is full of shit. |

meh, I'm perfectly happy with my two
Arsenal SGL31––-essentially an AK74M without the folding stock and the happy switch Arsenal SGL21––-essentially an AK103 without the folding stock and the happy switch yes I know the AR will always shoot rings around them, but to me there is something neat about the Avtomat Kalishnikova |

I own 10 aks they all work just great I have rommy, yugo, bulgie, a psl and a Czech vz58. Only issues I've had were from mags. Maybe own one before running your mouth. |

Exactly. The reason you see AKs all over is they're so fucking cheap and there is so many of them. It isn't because it's a "better" gun. Only a couple countries in the world us AKs. Everyone else with a respectable military uses a different pattern rifle. |
