Uh oh!
How many Rubio fanboys will come to his rescue? the day is early! Edit: and yes, while I like Rubio, I don't think he should be POTUS or even VPOTUS. |
|
Either you believe in the rule of law, or you don't.
Illegal aliens are illegal because they are here in contravention to our immigration laws. And our laws are not significantly different than other countries' immigration laws. |
|
Romney's "self deportation" comment was one of the best things he said over the course of his entire campaign. It's one of the few things I agree with him on.
Make it so illegals cannot work, drive, or get government assistance of any sort and they will go back to Mexico of their own free will. Sounds like a plan. If Rubio doesn't like it, tough shit. |
|
Immigration is encouraged to expand the available workforce, making it more competitive to get jobs (what few there are) and driving down the cost of labor. Big corporations have been pushing this for years and that's why the Republicraps and Demoncraps, the two faces of the same party which is owned by big money, have done nothing to restrict immigration.
|
|
Sorry, we're not tough ENOUGH on illegal immigrants.
I WELCOME all LEGAL immigrants, but illegal ones should be treated like any other CRIMINALS. What part of ILLEGAL do these assholes have a hard time understanding? CJ |

TEH OHNOEZ!!! BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!!!
Immigration wouldn't be an issue if we didn't have a cradle to grave welfare state. As far as I can tell, Rubio is about doing away with the entitlement system, that is more important. We also wouldn't have a problem with illegals if we didn't make the cost of labor so fucking high, we should fix that problem as well.
|
|
Rubio's parents came here from Cuba, under that advantageous arrangement Cuban illegals get. Is he feeling guilty, or just a little brown brotherhood in advance of a national campaign?
|
|
The way that article reads is If they are coming across the border it is a Criminal Offense but being in the country illegally is a Civil Violation.
That is like saying that a person breaking into your house is a Criminal but if he is already in your house it is a civil matter. That is bull shit. If someone breaks into your house you would call the police. If they said wait don't call the police, we will cook your food, clean your house and do your yard work. Guess what I am still calling the Police. If their daughter drops a baby on your living room floor and looks at you and says because it was born in your house you are responsible and now have to care for, feed, cloth and educate the child. This is Illegal Immigration broken down to a scale that anyone can understand. |

Even if we cut it back by half, it's still better than what is available south of the border. Quoted:

adjective
1. forbidden by law or statute. 2. contrary to or forbidden by official rules, regulations, etc.: Bye bye! |

no we aren't. IF we let these ones slide there is no reason for the next few million to bother following our laws because they will believe eventually they get a break as well.

If a nation doesn't protect its borders and limit immigration in some fashion, it begins to fray around the edges and eventually degrades into the third world shithole that all it's illegal (but not, in your view) immigrants came from. Eventually it's not much of a nation at all. Any sworn US Senator or Representative who would seek to degrade or blur the line between illegal and legal immigrant should be run out of town on a rail. |

He is also against gambling. I wish I still had the email from him when he was a State Sen.
I will not support him. |

Right, because the crops will definitely get picked at 4 dollars an hour, when you eliminate the minimum wage. Just need to get all the welfare people out picking lettuce. Jesus, where do you get some of your ideas? |

Rubio supported SOPA and PIPA, until they were effectively killed. He has also blown off the gunwalker issue.
I will NOT be voting for him next election cycle. |

He is probably correct in what he said. The "rhetoric" is getting to where we are judging all Hispanics the same way, illegal or legal. The "rhetoric" has gotten over the top. I understand what he was trying to say perfectly.

I don't know how "you" judge Hispanics, but I'm married to one. I know and love her side of my family and have no hangups about where they came from, because they got here legally. I see Hispanic folks everyday, my family aside, and I don't make any assumptions about where they're from or their legal/illegal status. Only an idiot assumes that all immigrants are illegal. We're a nation of immigrants. |

Romney's "self deportation" comment was one of the best things he said over the course of his entire campaign. It's one of the few things I agree with him on. Romney is pro-business enough that he won't be willing to crack down on companies that hire illegals. This is one area the states can tell the fedgov to shove it on the illegal immigration issue, and that's issuance of business licenses. Hire illegal workers and the state pulls your license. |

Fuck the illegal immigrants!!!! Go home.
What part of illegal don't people understand? Go suck up your own countries resources and benefits. |

DEPORT RUBIO IN 2012! This. They are not going to trade free ed. free med. dental, food stamps, housing, etc. for going back to Mexico. Florida is full up with illegals now, so all the pols from FL are going to go all in for "comprehensive immigration reform" (really means AMNESTY) to assure they get the latino vote. Latino is second minority in Tex and FL now and soon will be majority. The f***king idiot mayor in LA now, actually changed his name to a more latino sounding name to assure getting their vote. http://www.city-data.com/forum/illegal-immigration/241875-real-villaraigosa.html How about Manuel Rubiogarcia? ? ? |

Fine. Bring in immigrants willing to be patriotic and work. To make room, ship out current multi generational welfare rats!

I agree with him. Most people are tribal and utterly confused that the world isn't America. They don't have any idea what is required to become an American or what it means to leave your home country and go to a new place since they never had to do anything to earn the right to be an American. It would be best if all Americans had to earn the right to be citizens like in Starship Troopers.
