Have them burn it to a disk an mail it back. It's the only way to be sure they didn't clone it.
|

To be fair, if you go around drunk texting pics of your cock to everyone eventually one is going to wind up on the interweb.
P.S. Try zooming in next time, it will look bigger. ETA: Awe the joke doesn't work now that you added the pic and info. |

If you want to, send an invoice. It's typical to charge 2x what would normally be market rate when they don't ask first. A program on the Discovery Channel used one of my AI-AW photos without my consent and the company that did the production cut me a check for quite a bit of money.

Depends on what it was used for and what you could have used it for.

So, are you going to sue? Every self respecting liberal would sue them for using a picture you posted in a public forum.................
|
|
How exactly can they steal something that you've still got? If it's not watermarked, it's fair game ... if it is, you're still a dick for complaining about it.

*Right click, Copy Image Location, Copy Pasta....EVERYWHERE*

Just contact the blog owners and either get credit for the pic or get them to take it down. I think they're paid bloggers, so ask for some cash, as well. Theft is theft. That is theft, and they know it.

Not to be a dick or anything, but I wouldn't lay claim to that rifle
|

Its a crappy snapshot...it's not worth much, but the copyright is yours to do with as you please. Send them a DMCA notice if you want to go through the trouble, or, print screen and use it as a coolness factor tearsheet...

Not sure if serious...
Not a lawyer, but my understanding is that you can send them a cease and desist, and if they don't, you can sue them for whatever money they've made off your image. Aside from not having a juris doctorate, I am also not a qualified financial adviser (though I did have a Series 7 and Series 66 before), but I have a feeling the money you'll spend on legal fees trying to seek financial compensation from this blog will pale to whatever payout you could possibly get. "Squeezing blood from a rock" is the term that comes to mind |

Marking your creations with your name, a copyright, etc. is a good idea, but just because it's not there doesn't make it fair game. |

You don't have to file anything –– you automatically hold copyright the moment you create something. Filing with the Copyright Office only puts you in a better position for taking legal recourse in the event of infringement. |

I photo is "copywrited" as soon as it's taken. You can register your images with the copyright office, but it's not nessasary (it helps if you want to get paid) |

Thats one of the coolest photos I've seen in a while. I like the fact that her jacket it covered in "peace" symbols. Peace through superior firepower |

Perhaps they were loOking for the shittiest photo they could find in the hope that the photog would be too embarrassed to claim
it Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

It's stunning that they did not have a tier one photo editor send you a 4 page contract for that
fine example of image creation. Awesome use of white balance, dood.

I have had several ofmy pictures copied from here . I figured it was fair game once I put them in the public domain it's funny where you find them.
|

Considering my life's work happens to be intellectual property, that kind of thing would piss me off too.
I wouldn't expect money from an amateur blogger like that, but insisting on credit wouldn't be out of line. The domain/servers are from godaddy.com. If contacting the guys who run the blog doesn't help, go higher. |
|
Meh, I've had photos posted without permission or credit. Now I just watermark everything.
|

It really depends, on some sites in the legal disclaimer you can read that they own the material you post for so long a time.

Sorry, possession is nine tenths of the law. They stole it; it's now theirs.

They will photoshop a dildo in there and claim original work...
That's it :p |
