Ok, that was pretty cool. Oh, and that was one dirty ass cockpit. Looks like the shit I fly

You should give one of the WOCs some brown paper towels and a spray bottle of Simple Green.

How anyone can keep all those panels, switches, gauges, and there proper values straight in there head in a combat situation is just amazing to me.

Wow, I always heard the stick on an F-16 was in a really weird position but that looks like it has to be awkward.

Nice OP!

One of the "High Points" at KAF while in those NASTY transit tents was walking back from the PX, Boardwalk or MWR at night and seeing the '16's (And the

Euro' stuff) hauling ass off the strip!  It almost let you forget about the stench coming off of the shit pond for a second or two

Who was the chick they hired to record the "Warning Warning Caution" track?  She sounds sexy.

I've only been around them at airshows and I've noticed how the F16 is the loudest plane in the air.  I can't imagine the noise INSIDE one of those hangars.

mmmm usually these videos dont stay online too long..

if you start the F-16 in Falcon4 BMS, you can pretty much start it for real.

when I was in Aviano AFB, the instructor was impressed what we could do just by learning on a PC simulator..

I wonder how much an interior detail of an F-16 would be?

what do you mean ? how much it does cost to have an exact replica of the cockpit ? You can do it for less than 10k$ nowadays..

buying a full real cockpit ? not sure its possible.

Airmen are cheap!

After too many impounds for lost knobs and such in the cockpit, I had all the aircraft in Cann status have a mandatory touch and tug on every dial, switch, light hood etc in the cockpit.  It took a guy sitting there in the seat about three full shifts to do it.  The APG section chief figured if they can do that, they can clean as they go.

Cockpit FOD rates dropped tremendously.

However, it doesn't take long for a cockpit to get nasty, especially where these guys are operating.

Some of the panels are pretty old. There's one called the Flight Control Panel, you can see it in the first video at 1:21, with the green lights. I fix those at work, and it's pretty common to see early 1980's dates on those things.

The paint chips on the faceplates pretty easily. That's why the edges of a lot of the panels look white.

I filmed this in 05 in Aviano AFB (USAFE Italy)

you can get an idea of the kind of sound the F16 produce..

Yeah, I aggravated the Air Force babe... but who cares ;)

I  mainly worked with Block 52's.  The screech of the pneumatic tail feather actuators is definitely noticeable on landing.

Vipers aren't nearly as loud as B-1's, tho......

Funnest time I had running engines was a KC-135Q full 4 engine water burn, in the hush house at Kadena.  Having the jet jump around with a giant wall of doors closed at the nose can be disconcerting.  I think I remember barely having the required fuel load......or maybe I didn't....
