The Left will spin it into something political and use it as an example about the dangers of offshore drilling.

I believe Obama would be ecstatic over this, we're talking about a huge loss in lives and resources in the Oil Industry

Keep in mind guys, that a lot of those men were probably Americans.  I don't know who has the services on that rig, but there were probably some nice regular guys from Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Weatherford and so on on that rig.

Yeah, its good that there isn't a huge environmental factor to this accident.  However, I would appeal to the humanity and the season to say that you shouldn't merely look at this as a merely environmental issue.  There are families in the US, probably northern Europe, and Russia that are really hurting this Christmas, because their dads, sons, and brothers either drowned or died from exposure at sea.

How do you run into a storm in this day and age?  That's like an act of desperation.

No Americans, they were Russians, one from Ukraine and the rest SEAsia

I hope the crew makes it somehow.

No, it won't be.  They were under tow, not drilling.

It is just a regular type disaster for all who died and their families.
