the only way I can confirm Ya'll story is to check it out for myself. I assume, I said i assume that Long Island being the only place in NY with beaches well guess what? I live on long island, damn place is chock full of yankees, so anyway i want ya'll to go ahead and give me the name of the beach these here girls were supposedly at.

Are you saying you stare at teen age girls when they run around in little cut off shorts or tiny bikinis? I think all guys have pretty girl radar but as soon as we realize what caught our attention was an underage girl, we look elsewhere. What difference does it make whether there is a sliver of cloth covering the nipples or it's just bare skin? Maybe you believe swim suits are inappropriate too?

The first time I really saw a lot of topless women on the beach was down at the Riviera Maya in Mexico a few years ago. There were some very attractive women at the resort where we stayed. I was appreciative of what I saw but never actually aroused. Once you get a little conditioned, it's not much different than having a conversation with a women wearing a really low cut top. You kinda want to stare but you know it isn't appropriate so you simply look her in the eyes. It's not that hard.

About ten years ago I was at a beach in Ibiza, Spain. Around me were some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen, shave beaver and all. After an hour it didn't phase me anymore. I remember thinking that if I were in the US, I'd be excited if I could see a girl nipping through her t-shirt. I'm back to being excited by nipping through clothing. Sad really.

I agree. I find it odd that in many other countries this behavior is passe yet here it's "OMG boobies on the beach! My eyes, the googles.......they do nothing!".

I have been to quite a few foreign beaches where women (of all ages) not only went topless but removed their bottoms to sun themselves as well. Somehow I managed to contain myself and not go on a raping spree.

While Europe politically is FUBAR, on social issues they tend to get it right more often than we do.

No the conversation morphed into topless women in general.

If you work in dog shelter once you get used to gassing dogs you don't think anything of it either.

Sure once you get used to seeing boobs maybe you won't be aroused.

As I said before, at a beach specifically for topless or complete nudity I'm fine with it.

I went to a major new york beach on Sunday and I was shocked at the over 1,000 naked people of all ages roasting in the sun and frolicking in the surf just like all the folks with clothes on. It wasn't a special beach area either. Robert Moses State Park. Great surf out there too!

Thats a cultural expectation
In other cultures (european specifically), nudity isnt that big of deal

Honestly I can't say it's either. Hell a pair of tits is a pair of tits. I doubt any heterosexual male could see a nice pair attached to an attractive woman at any age without a second glance. Lets be honest with ourselves here. Where right and wrong comes in is how you conduct yourself in the process. Going over and trying to pick up said girl, or grabbing your pecker and fapping would be wrong. Taking a second glance from afar is perfectly natural. Can you honestly say you never did a double take over some scantly clad 16 year old trollip at the mall? Not that long ago it would have been normal for that girl to be married with a child or two of her own.

the problem with your question is that i would obviously agree that i would not allow my daughter at the age of 14 run around topless because i grew up and was raised in the united states where public nudity is not acceptable. now, if i were to read your question, and was a born and raised resident of a country that it's culture was perfectly o.k. with public nudity, then i doubt i'd have a problem with it.

i believe it's the upbringing with the idea that a nude person automatically by instinct generates "impure and evil" thoughts.

A lot of the people responding are from the U.S and saying how backwards the U.S is towards nudity and that it's no big deal. That's where my question comes in. If they don't think it's a big deal and even giving people grief because they think it's wierd, then they surely would have no problem with their own daughter doing it.

To a nude beach? No I would have no issue with that and I have two daughters. Around the house with a boyfriend? Probably not as even in cultures where public nudity is accepted this would be frowned on. One is suggestive of an invitation and the other is not. You would have to be blind not to see that. Since I was raised to not see shame in the human body (mom was a doctor) and I have raised my 3 girls that way (now 20, 21 and 25), I would have been ok with them at a nude beach. no way in hell with a BF at home. I guess that might make my a hypocrite sorta.

It isn't as if the family was right in the middle of the crowd. They looked for their own uncrowded portion of a beach to do their own thing. For some families, nakedness isn't a big deal. Hell we had a friend who was nursing in the hot sun just up and decide that it was too damn hot to wear a top, so she just let the puppies hang.

It really is amazing that on this website, you have folks who post videos of people getting burned a live, shot and decapitated and people won't mind, and will even crack jokes, but women's bare boobs are suddenly the most deviant thing ever.

There is nothing, what so ever, inherently sexual about naked people.

A family swimming in a hot tub is no more sexual tha a father giving a child a bath.

Attitudes like yours worry me much more than people who see nothing wrong with nudity.

So when you look at a naked woman you don't know you're not sexually aroused?

Maybe I'm frigid, it takes more than a nude person to sexually arouse me. There needs to be some sort of erotic catalyst as well.

Naked people are not sexy, naked people doing sexy things are. A 14 year old, topless at a beach, is not sexy.

I am the poster boy for someone who should have turned out pretty prudish based solely on my upbringing. I still don't find naked people inherently arousing or nudity inherently sexual.

For instance, I find my wife to be incredibly attractive. However, when she's walking around the house getting ready to go out and all she's wearing is a pair of panties (or nothing at all) it's not arousing to me. Mostly, I would guess, because she;'s busy finding the right bra or looking for a hair clip or something mundane, she's not trying to be sexy. It's the same with strange women, they don't suddenly become sexy just because I don't know them and they are nude.

Frankly, if I got aroused every time I saw my wife naked we'd never go anywhere.

To me, it's just about self control. If any guy can look at his sister without popping a tent in his pants then he should be able to do the same for any other situation. It is possible to look at, appreciate, and think a nice female body is sexy without getting aroused or starting to imagine doing naughty things with her. Don't want to over share here but I've got a thing for short, tight skirts and stockings. I sure notice that in public but it doesn't make me lose my head and suddenly turn into some kind of creep.

ETA: Plus one on the wife at home thing. I look at and appreciate my wife's body any time she's doing things around the house but it's not like I always have to touch.
