My internet is through Sprint and it's $64 a month.  I changed jobs and found out new employer has one of those agreements with Sprint where employees get discounts.  I called Sprint and they told it it wouldn't apply to my account since it is only for cell phone, not for wireless internet.  Just to appease me, they put it on my account "in case I decide to get a Sprint cell phone in the future" but it would not apply to my internet bill.

Bill came yesterday - it's $49 now.     Ok, so $15 isn't a ton of money but this is the only feasible internet solution for my house in the sticks and I'm saving $180 a year on it.

On a related note, I called AT&T as well since my company has an agreement with them.  I got a new phone and cut my bill from $70 to $40 a month.

Do all big companies do this?

The shitty part is that back when I was in the Marines,  employees of home depot got a better discount than service members.

ETA: At&t gave me 10% discount and my brother in law who worked for home depot 15%

Just Sprint for us, but we also have repeaters (at least that is what the guy called them) set up in our plant so Sprint has an excellent signal everywhere in there.  We have PtT Sprint phones instead of the old Motorola walkie talkies and substation there too.

My last job, and my wifes both have some sort of discount with all the providers. A national bank, and a national sporting goods chain. 10-15% depending on carrier.

If you are a Ford employee you can just call sprint customer service and they will give you a 23% reoccurring discount each month. When I did it they didnt even ask me for proof of employment or anything else. Ford employees also get 20% off of verizon.
