My internet is through Sprint and it's $64 a month. I changed jobs and found out new employer has one of those agreements with Sprint where employees get discounts. I called Sprint and they told it it wouldn't apply to my account since it is only for cell phone, not for wireless internet. Just to appease me, they put it on my account "in case I decide to get a Sprint cell phone in the future" but it would not apply to my internet bill.
Bill came yesterday - it's $49 now.
Ok, so $15 isn't a ton of money but this is the only feasible internet solution for my house in the sticks and I'm saving $180 a year on it.
On a related note, I called AT&T as well since my company has an agreement with them. I got a new phone and cut my bill from $70 to $40 a month.
Do all big companies do this?
