I flipped on Young Frankenstein because I thought my stepdaughter would like it (9 y/o). I totally forgot how hot Terri Garr was. Madeleine Kahn looks pretty good too!

Umm, You don't "catch" MS. MS typically doesn't affect your physical appearance, unless it gets to the point where you need crutches or a wheelchair. MS is a Neurological disorder. The reason I know is because my wife has it.

I'm sure at 66 you'll be the Cary Grant looking stud you were at 25 too.

Yup.  Any mention of Teri and that's what comes to mind for me as well.

They kicked around the idea of that episode being a spinoff to a new series, but it never went anywhere.

Too bad, it would have been interesting.

Just hit Memory Alpha and found this titbit:

Teri Garr
had a very unpleasant time filming this episode, perhaps stemming from
Gene Roddenberry's involvement in decisions regarding her costume,
specifically the length of her skirt. The hem was taken up so much it
became very distorted. In interviews since, she has refused to talk
about 'Star Trek' in any way.

I "worked" with her very briefly when I was a kid. I remember her as being very patient and friendly (and nice looking for an "old lady" ).

By worked, I read for a part in a movie that she was starring in, made it past the cattle call and it was between me and some other kid. Wound up doing a read of a couple of scenes with her and a couple of the other actors in the film. The director ultimately decided to go with the other kid since he had a little previous acting experience whereas I had none.

That other kid...... Cory Haim

Great episode, if only for all the closeups of the Apollo spacecraft.

I didn't care for it.  It was pretty obvious someone wanted a new sci-fi show, and they decided to try to shoehorn a pilot into a Star Trek episode.  Pretty poorly, I might add.  It might have made a somewhat interesting series, but as an episode of Star Trek, it wasn't a very good one.

Even the very start of the episode was a WTF moment.  "Captain's Log, we decided to just travel back in time to 20th century Earth for research purposes."  Wait...what?  They can just time travel at will now and do so routinely?
