I'm a fan of the brown uniforms that many Sheriff's offices use.

I like the ones that evoke fear in all citizens... you know, so they keep their asses in line.

those look like MA State Troopers. |
Those are Mass State Troopers. |
Blue or Green BDU's.
ETA: I am not a fan of the 'trinkets' of non BDU uniforms...badges, pins, rank insignias, gold on duty belts, etc...YMMV. |

What's the history of the MA State Police uniforms? They look like they were designed after Nazi uniforms... same can be said for the NJ State Police uniforms as well. |

I notice southern states police tend to wear stetson style hats.
The local police used to wear grey uniforms with stetsons here, then they changed to dark blue with nLAPD style patrol caps about 20 years ago. |

Quoted: those look like MA State Troopers. Oops, google image search got their jackboots all mixed up |

I don't work for them but AZ Department of Public Safety has some very nice uniforms. Sorry no pics.

Ther NJSP police were formed in 1914, and really funded in 1921, That's when their uniforms were designed. MASP were foemed in 1865, and got "formal" in the 1920's, that's when their unifroms were designed, or earlier. |

I'm guessing that was the style back then and it stuck over the years... |

Anything that does not make them look like the military, but rather like the civil servants they are is just fine with me.
