The system for counting votes in polls that allow for more than one vote should be changed. Currently, the system shows the percentage of the total votes received for each option, so the total adds up to 100%. For example, if there is a poll asking which of the following rifles do you own, with 10 options, if 10 people reply to the poll stating that they own all 10, the poll results will display 10% for each option. This is the same result as if 100 people had replied with 10people voting for each option, making the resulting data useless.

If the system were modified to show what percentage of people had voted for each option, the resulting data would be far more useful. Instead of showing 10% for each option in the first example, the results would show that 100% claimed to own each of the rifles. The second example would be unchanged, with each result showing 10%, as 10 percent of the total number of respondents voted for each option.

Unless I'm missing some scenario where the current setup works better, it seems like this change would make multi option polls far more useful.
