A couple of days ago I started a gallon jug of JOAM and another gallon of Blackberry mead.  Both are bubbling nicely.

When I get back to Oahu on Tuesday I'm going to start 5-gal of Nut Brown Ale from extract.

Nothing at the moment ..

Haven't done any brewing since December, and have become dissatisfied with doing beers. It's the bottling, really. I want to keg but financially that is not an option right now, and I really enjoy making apfelweins way more (not to mention drinking them!!).

Going to be doing three 5 gal batches of Apfelweins, and buy some 1 gal carboys to do some variations of JAOM this paycheck. Yay!

peach experiment
had some peaches that I probably wouldn't have eaten before they went bad so I out them in the blender with some water and sugar
I'll let it ferment a few days and rack it into another carboy, straining off any solids and will probably top off with white grape juice concentrate and if needed more sugar to get to what ever SG I decide on then let it ferment until it stops

It ain't what's in the fermenter, it's what I need to keg and bottle before these AZ temps destroy it....
I have 6 gallons of Zinfandel Wine, 6 gallons of Cabernet Sauvignon, 5 gallons of Kolsch, and 5 gallons of Stout that are all ready for bottles and kegs.
I just have to find the time to "Git'er done"....

This just got done bottle conditioning for me.  I'll be trying some tonight.

I'm pretty much done for the summer as far as brewing is concerned: too hot to boil water for an hour and our ground/tap water is too warm to effectively cool the wort.  If I hadn't given three cases away during my summer vacation, I'd be sitting pretty right now.... Oh well.

Habenero.
1/2 gal
10 oz clover honey
10 oz wildflower honey
2 whole habeneros seeds and all.

It should be too spicy to comfortably drink, but great for cooking.
This is my first time doing habenero, but I like the jalapeno one, so why not?

i've just started drinking a Black IPA we did.  Worked off of a Bells 2-hearted "clone" and adjusted to our liking.  Calling it the "Black Hearted IPA".  It's delicious with a nice smooth front end, but we think the hops we "dry-hopped" with were a little stale and the finish seems just a little "off" as a result.  We'll be re-brewing that one to perfect.

yesterday we did a witbier.  60 minute, 7 gallon boil for the hops (hallertau hops, 1.2oz) and at 5 minutes we added the coriander, orange rind, and camomile flower.  2 packs of wyeast and man am i'm GLAD we did a blow-out tube.  sucker is going NUTS in just 12 hours.

headed home to a cold black ipa right now.  cheers!

First fermenter has what I call: Brown Blackbear Wheat. It is a creamy brown wheat beer with blackberries.

Second fermenter has Creamy Canadian Maple. I wanted to incorporate maple syrup in a beer and this is what I got. Hope it turns out!

It's freaking awesome!  Such a refreshing drink, and easy as pie to make.

I put mine in the keg so it is lightly carbed, and even better.

The Two Hearted is gone that I posted about ^^ earlier, now I have a Stone Ruination Clone and Red Wheat in the fermenter.

Don't have anything in the fermenter right now, but just got done with 25 oz. of my first batch of AK47 Pale Ale and oh   my    god, does that taste good!  I think that's the last of it though since I gave most of it away during our family reunion in June, oh well, I still have the second batch just getting ready.

I'm on 25 oz. of my American Rye Ale right now, pretty smooth, not too bitter (which I hate) but it will do.

Here's to Home Brew!!!!

Will let you know how it tastes, had one at Phantom Canyon Brewing in Co. Springs 2 weeks ago and was pretty good.

I just got a hoppy amber in to ferment.  Waiting for it to cool enough to pitch.  My hose could only get the temp to go down to 90.  It's at 78 right now.  I'll pitch at 75 and my fermentation chamber will do the rest.

I don't think I've had an ESB before, can you recommend a commercial brew that you think is a good example?  I want to try a good version of the style before to see if I like it.
