My Chef Steps Joule showed up yesterday as well. I'm using their Youtube channel to get some decent recipes. They are serious hipster lefties, but they can cook.

I probably use mine more for sous vide than I do for keeping stuff on ice, honestly.

We've made a bunch of delicious things from Anova's website. Most recently, we made 2 different pork tenderloin recipes, and both were fabulous.

chefsteps.com they're all about it, and these guys are all skilled chefs. call them hipsters if you like but they know their craft. I talked some major shit on sous vide before I eventually broke down and bought one. while I'm still not sold on it being some amazing, wonder machine it absolutely has it's place and you can do some damn cool stuff with them. cheap/tough cuts of meat are now a playground.

I think I'm going to get one. Now I just have to decide between the Anova and Joule.

I've never done sous vide. But if I decide to get into it, the first book I buy will be Thomas Kellers.

That's my favorite use for my Anova, making a $4 chuck steak almost as tasty as a $20 ribeye.
