This was Sunday, and my first attempt at smoked pork belly.  It turned out pretty decent, but I will try to tweak it a bit next time.

I wish cooking and baking with an infant were easier. I miss it.

Today I wore the baby in a carrier and made Nutella rum cakes. It took the entirety of one of his awake periods, and by the end of it he was fussing to eat and nap, but we made it!  Many continued thanks to Chef for helping me create the recipe - I've made it for Christmas for the last 4 years.

Polenta casserole.  Really easy and tasty.

Didn't use this exact recipe but it's basically the same.  I'm definitely eating again with cannelli beans on the side

Its was perfect.

Whipped up some red beans and rice.  I used canned beans, but the really good Blue Runner canned beans.  Rinsed my rice really well and it was super fluffy.  I may have to try this next time I make a jambalaya.

Made some wings for Thursday night football. Did the oven method where you use baking powder, just like deep fried

Just did a franks redhot/butter bowl and a ranch seasoning bowl. Everyone raved about them.

Only question is where do I find fennel pollen around here?

I think I'll just pulverize some seeds instead.

Made about a gallon of beef stock a couple days ago, but used some today

Used some left over prime rib bones. Roasted vegetables and bones for about an hour. In the deep freeze now.

I've been browsing this thread for ideas.

I made a grilled turkey-bacon sandwich on sour-dough with aioli and provolone today, it was good.

Also made some French bread that is rising as I type this, I need to roll it out and get it ready for baking.

Today I made "indian jambalaya". I started out making a biryani and accidentally grabbed the medium grain rice instead of basmati.
