It was built by J.P Howard, a gunsmith in Platform Ohio. He is listed in
Ohio Gunsmiths vol. 3 and 4 |

As good as the outside looks. The bore has issues.

Nice charcoal burner OP!
Our WM is a big wig in the Association of Ohio Long Rifle Collectors. I showed him this thread. He said he would research this rifle & maker. I will report back when he finds something |

Thank You , Overscoped I haven't posted much, let alone posting pics. I had seen old rifles on the net with masonic inlays and always admired them. I couldn't believe that I came across one.
