Are there any brothers from the Madisonville or Paducah on here.  I keep hearing about how impressive the Kentucky third degree is and I am interested in visiting a lodge during a third.  I was wondering if I need to go to Madisonville, or if something around Paducah would be about the same.  Thank you brothers.

Not from western Ky but there should only be minute differences between the lodges in Madisonville and Paducah. I hear Paducah has two lodges. One Union and one Confederate. Thank you for responding Grayrider1862.  I will get in touch with you soon.  You bring up another interesting subject; Confederate or Union.  Both would be interesting but I like the idea of Confederate.  Let me discuss this with someone who may know more.

Duane I have your email. Give me a few days to get some contact info together for you. There is actually no difference in the the two Paducah lodges. It was just like those loyal to the Union couldn't bring themselves to sit in lodge with no "Seccesh Trash" and vice versa. That part of Ky was heavily pro CSA but there were plenty of Unionists too. They were more likely to kill each other than socialise together.
