The closest grotto to me is in the valley of Pittsburgh.... a 45 minute drive. The SR and York bodies also meet there. I am a SR.. but am not a grotto member. That's going to have to wait.

I've seen Grotto described as "the poor man's Shrine". From what I understand, the Shrine is for big spender, people with lots of extra time, or preferably both. That would make this for people with time, I guess.

Grotto is like the Shrine with a lot less bullshit.  Grotto is also something that you can take part in with the Wife\girlfriend, meetings are members only but for events or going to a regional or national meeting you can bring the wife along
