Join NRA's Wayne LaPierre for Town Hall on Newsmax TV
There has "never been a more important election" than the 2016 presidential battle, National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre says in a special town hall meeting airing on Newsmax TV Monday night.
LaPierre is taking to the airwaves to encourage Americans to vote and protect their Second Amendment rights as President Obama moves aggressively with Executive Orders and actions to limit gun freedom.
The NRA Town Hall meeting with LaPierre airs at 10 p.m. ET Monday.
The Town Hall features LaPierre taking questions from audience members not only about the election, but about issues surrounding the rights of Americans to bear arms.
"We Americans, we breathe freer air, we live freer lives, we have more opportunity from the day we are born," LaPierre says.
The nation is the first to be "founded on God-given freedoms" and liberty through rights that are not granted by the government, but through "inalienable rights," he adds.
This year's election is especially vital, LaPierre says, because if Democrat Hillary Clinton is elected, "you can kiss our civil rights goodbye... There has never been a more important time to vote."
Clinton has called for allowing gun manufacturers to be sued directly by victims of gun violence, even though they were not involved in the illegal act.
LaPierre also reveals the NRA's plans in dealing with the media and protecting gun rights from an activist judiciary.
