ATF "would not seek to issue the final guidelines "at this time."

All we did is kick the can down the road while they hide under their desk for a while and figure out another, sneakier, way to ban ammunition.

Next time they do it, they won't bother with the comment period.

And they won't have to.

Hopefully manufacturers dump a shitload of this stuff on the market before the next try.

This. Complacency kills.

And don't forget to donate to the NRA-ILA! They've been doing a damn-fine job of making our voices heard on the national level.

Yep, they want to ban ALL 5.56mm.

ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo

"Any 5.56 round" is "a challenge for officer safety," he said. Jones asked lawmakers to help in a review of a 1986 bill written to protect police from so-called "cop killer" rounds that largely exempted rifle ammo like the 5.56 because it has been used by target shooters, not criminals.

Not to mention, Dems are pushing ATF to just go ahead with the ban and intend now to push legislative action as well

They don't have the majority anymore. That legislation will never make it out of committee.

As for pressuring the ATF they can try, but the Republicans control the Congress and the ATF's budget.

Oh yes, the Republicans will save us from further gun grabbing legislation, when they're not introducing it themselves that is...

First of all, a BIG for this win.

Second of all, whoever the woman was on that news clip, defending the 2A, should run for office.....she is EXACTLY the kind of spokesperson we need.

Extremely well spoken and not remotely timid in the face of blathering leftist propaganda.

Well, while we are all congratulating ourselves, the remaining democrats are writing the ATF to tell them they quit too soon, and that ammunition should be redefined by what it can do, not how it is constructed. Posted this under ammunition for quicker circulation, got a dick reply and locked, so I will post here so it can be lost.

Which is why HR 1180 needs to become law ASAP.
