Is this because the most who came here with serious intentions and knowledge were trolled off, or are people genuinely not interested in World affairs
There is no mention of what is in the offing just prior the the Presidential elections or the situation in Iran, or where most of the US carriers are sitting, nor of the Russian submarine in the gulf of Mexico. I could go on and on about Putins speech yesterday, or that the French are now about to give the Syrian Rebels Artillery and financial aid, which shouldn't come as such a surprise as they have a large Arab population. I show on by in a few days to see if there has been any response to my thread, and see if its worth my while. Tony |

Where are the carriers?
And Putin has been moving the chess pieces around while Obama has been playing tin-pot dictator. |

As to the carriers, we watched USS Enterprise leave her last port of call as she was to be decommissioned, but she ended up being sent somewhere else, "False flag" was going through our mind's, which is still a possibility, we followed the Enterprise using "Ship find" until she fell off the map for security reasons, but at a guess she's in one Gulf or another at the moment. Let's talk about Egypt, and how she just ordered 2 Dolphin class subs from the German's, which has given the Israelis a reason to complain again. Or the Chinese who will have a Blue water navy capable of sustained operations by the end of this year, and the multi role jets they bought off Russia. |

Seems like something is about to happen. Had not heard about Russian sub in the Gulf that is a little too close for comfort if you ask me.
Dems are ripping Romney becuase he will designate $2 trillion more in defense spending than the Pentagon is currently requesting but in my opinion we need that $$ to be building more carriers to replace our aging carriers like the Enterprise and either building more carrier capable planes that we already have like the F18 or expediting the F35 project in respose to the Chinese Blue Water Navy you speak of and those multi role jets that the Chinese have bought from he Russians. Our one fall back from basically the Battle of Midway until the present has been air superiority with great fighters such as the P51 Mustang and F15 we need to assure the US dominace in the air for the next generations or we are in trouble becuase it will be hard to match the boots on the ground that the Chinese and Russians can come with. We just do not have the man power to compete with that so we need as many force multipliers as possible and those cost $$$$ The situation in Israel is also very dicey. With the Muslin brotherhood coming into power in Egypt and Iran focusing on their nuclear ambitions I can see how Israel is on edge. This administartion is probably nieve enough to ignore it until a major war is inevitable. With Iran attacking from the East and Egypt from the west Israel would be in big trouble without major help from NATO for weapons, manpower and $$$ ETA for spelling. |

They are still spending but it's concentrated in going in the wrong direction...
In the meantime China has an aircraft carrier that should be finished with the sea trials and have Russian made SU35's on board by the fall of this year. Now Canada has closed it's consulate in Tehran, and kicked the Iranians out of their consulate in Toronto. The clock is ticking away, and it just stopped ticking and started buzzing. Which can only mean that the sideshow in Syria is about to come to an end. I'm just wondering which country will be the next to close their consulates in Iran? Tony |

Both of these attacks were senseless, triggered by a film... WTF Or was it the date? Whatever, lets hope that they get what's coming to them. My condolences to the families and friends of those who were lost. Tony |

Now we are getting threatened by Iran
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iran-threatens-attacks-us-bases-event-war-17301499 But you hear nothing about this on the world news and neither one of our excellent presidential candidates have mentioned this. Pretty stupid of Iran to go public with this but I guess they think with this lame administartion it will scare them out of supporting Israel when the bombs start dropping. I am so tired of the world pushing us around. We bomb Libya into submission for what was called to prevent a humanitarian disaster but when worse violence breaks out in Syria we are no where to be seen because Obama is afraid of Russia. |
|
|
imho we had no business in libya, we have no business in syria, i personally dont like any of them, but America looks like a real asshole when we bomb countries that havnt attacked us yet or even pose a threat. had we just let gadaffi put down the libya uprising, 4 Americans including an ambassador would still be alive, and gas might be below $3.50. An attack on syria would easily push gas up another $.50 and God forbid we ever have to go to war with iran. you can kiss driving goodbye once that war breaks out not to mention a U.S. attack on syria or iran would spark WW3.
with what money are we going to pay for another war? we are broke and the rest of the world knows it. the dollar is being replaced in alot of countries, and it wont be long before it collapses on the course we are on. im not siding with any of these countries, because yes they are enemies of the US, but the juice better be worth the squeeze, and right now id say it isnt. now the day iran gets nukes, which i would say in the next year or so, then its time seriously confront them. |

Iran may already have nukes, from it's BRIC trading partners, it never had to develop its own, this is just another hoodwinking roll tide.
