Been wanting a doberman for a while. Picked her last week. She is 13 weeks old, and has already taken over the house.

Is that a dewclaw left on there still? Could just be the pic...

If you are going to do the ears - You best hurry as waiting longer is going to be a lot more work on your part to get them to stand properly.

Nice looking dog!

I was going to get the ears done but couldn't find anyone around me that does it, so I am going to just leave the ears natural.

I personally like the look of an unpinned ear on a dobie. Nice looking pup.

Never seen an ALL black Dobie before...

Black and Tan - Yes, but all Black - no.

Melanistic?

Hope you start a thread and share pictures as your new Doberman grows older. Absolutely LOVE when you share pics of your Dobie 'family' you got there!

yes, melanistic. all brown (rust) markings replaced with black. you can still see them, at the right angles, but they're black.

She's adorable.   Amazing how easily we get wrapped around their paws.

She is back home now and bouncing off the walls. Vet said she probably ate something she shouldn't have and to keep an eye on her.
