Just saw the movie, which was OK.  If the book fleshes things out more it might be worth a listen?

I personally found it pretty dry reading.
The author has a second book out about the effort in Italy.
I didn't bother to get it due to the first book.

Never saw the movie but I did read the book.  As a former museum person, I enjoyed the book.

I read the book and saw the movie.
If you saw the movie the book won't add much more.
I read the book first and was disappointed as I expected this to be sort of like a treasure hunt, but anytime they seemed to get close focus went elsewhere.
Even when the treasure was found the book didn't really present it as a wow moment.
