Since Halloween is coming up, I decided to read some good horror stories. Preferably something with, shadow people, and skinwalkers, other types of creatures welcome. Just no Sci-fi-ish type books. It can be fiction or nonfiction, so what say the hive? Thanks in advance.

United States Tax Code- should have you quaking in your boots, and you may finish it by Halloween next year.

Affordable Care Act- will kill you sooner or later.

Jeff Long's "The Descent"
I don't normally go for science fiction, so I'm not sure if this would be too much like that. Really doubt it.
Great book IMHO.

Stay safe

Wolf Creek Origin and Wolf creek Desolation Game prequels to the movies creepier than finding out that you just fucked your long lost sister if you think Mick Taylor is scary in the movies he's down right nasty in his youth.

You like monsters, Dan Simmons' The Terror is pretty good

Monsters, insanity, isolation, cannibalism, treachery, murder, all with a historical background that was thoroughly researched

He also wrote Drood which I am reading now; it's pretty creepy, though it is not clear yet if what is happening is supernatural in origin or psychological
