What's the word on these?  Worth reading?

The first book has some pretty bad reviews on Amazon.

I actually just finished "An Act of Treason" today and it was awesome I plan on picking up the other books. I had previously read his autobiography so maybe I am biased. It's a little bit more technical about the firearms than most books with guns and i'm sure more here would appreciate that. The story was a bit hard to follow but I really liked it. I think its a good read.

I have his first book plus all of the Kyle Swanson series.  His first book was a an autobiography and was a little hard to follow.  I really like the Kyle Swanson books, own all of them and have re-read them all more than once.

I found them to be a bit cliche as far as that genre of novel goes, but they are better and more readable than the Tom Clancy sub series books (Op Center, Net Force, etc. etc.).   They do seem to be getting better.  I really, really enjoyed Running the Maze.  Was the best one yet.
