Still working my way through the new editions of "There Will Be War" by Pournelle.

Two upcoming books that I am happy to back via Kickstarter:

Escape the City by TJIC.  You may remember him from the Prometheus award-winning books Powers of the Earth and Causes of Separation which he did by Kickstarted a few years ago.  This Escape from the City is his homesteading book.

The other new one that I am tickled about is The Children's illustrated Clausewitz, a retelling of Clausewitz's "On War" into a children's story with watercolor illustrations.  I have a couple coming so I can gift to my young nephews.

Hunh...  Might be pretty good if both sides hate it

Anyways, it's a very good, readable history book about a very interesting period (especially living in North Texas) and a very interesting man.

this, it's an excellent book. It goes against the Noble Savage tripe of modern academia but also realistic in that there was a (justifiable in the opinion of those who lived in the times) bias against Indians in general but Comanche in particular.

Alone at Dawn

This book is far more than just what happened on Takur Ghar. The book gives a history on Combat Control, and the missions they conducted from the start of the war, leading up to the events of that night.
