By all means, everyone needs to read Kurt Schlicter's "Attack".
It's what can happen with a wide open border.

It starts with a 3 day blood bath attack on America and ends up with Antifa types being court marshaled and shot in the back of the head, America hit squads hunting traitors in Europe with .45's just to send a message, and Mexican cartels being wiped out.

Dune by Frank Herbert.

I have always wanted to read this series, I've seen all the movies even current new ones. These (2021 & 2024} were actually a pleasant surprise IMO compared to what we see nowadays.

Just started:

America’s greatest untold story: the United States’ rise to world dominance under the guile of Allen Welsh Dulles, the longest-serving director of the CIA. Drawing on revelatory new materials—including newly discovered U.S. government documents, U.S. and European intelligence sources, the personal correspondence and journals of Allen Dulles’s wife and mistress, and exclusive interviews with the children of prominent CIA officials—Talbot reveals the underside of one of America’s most powerful and influential figures.

Recommended book for military history buffs especially the Falklands war: The First Casualty by Ricky D Phillips. Brings to light how much the British and Argentina government covered up what really happened in the initial invasion. Anniversary of the start of that conflict is coming up : April 2 1982.

Jupiter Contact by author David Pankey. I recently read it as the author is my Dad (not his real name on the book). I actually enjoyed it but don’t know if that’s because I’m biased. It’s sci-fi/first contact kind of story. I asked if I could post it in a different thread and was directed to this one by the mod. I do think I’ve got my Dad to start lurking gd sometimes so maybe someday I’ll get him to join.

I picked up Animal Farm and 1984 in one book. I haven't read Animal Farm since elementary school so I forgot most of it.
