Of the few Leslies I've seen and played with (not a musician), it always seemed odd to me that the control was just an on-off switch. To me, it would make more sense to hook it to a pedal with a variable speed control so that you could have more control over the motion/effect of the Leslie. This, of course, has nothing to do with your question. |

I agree a variable controller would be cool.

Check out Motion Sound Rotary Speaker
These sound awesome.. I am too lazy to drag my 145 around.. The Leslie patch(s) on my XK3 sound pretty damn good. Programmable with a wide selection of variations. Not sure what the XK2 has in that department Hammonds!

Xk2 is pretty flexible with the leslie patch as well.
Those motion sound speakers look pretty sweet! |

When I did sound, the Motion Sound top cabs sounded as good as anyone using a 47,45, 22..
Here is a great treatise on Leslie cabs. Absolutely no shit on the lack of diffuser.. it helps the horn "Bark" to keep it on there. My 145 has a vintage horn driver, which breaks up nicely, growly I like the fact that the SK-2 has EP patches and what not. I bought my XK-3, 12 years ago, and it was the top shelf at the time.. Shoulda waited..
