Musician's Friend has the Randall Satan head on the site for $1627.14. I briefly played one in a shop and my first impression was good, however I didn't have much time to really get into it. It's not on the list of eligible items for the 15% off president's sale, but that normally isn't an issue with MF. At $1383 my GAS senses are beyond tingling. Has anyone here had any real quality time with one?

I plugged into one very, very briefly out of amusement at the name... very, very high gain and supposed to be good for drop tuned / extended range guitars.

The sound was a bit less than satisfying for me, it might be great live for a modern metal sound but it didn't tickle me at all.
