A B57 Canberra, have seen them in pictures but never in the flesh. Got to talk to the ground crew a bit when they were putting it in the hangar.  One of three in flying condition. Was at Davis Monthan for nearly forty years before they brought it back to life.  Obviously no spares for these anymore. The guy I was bs'ing with said it has F15 landing gear componants, F16 ejection seats and they had to fabricate parts of the wings. Was surpised to learn that is has the same engines as the B52.  Had a unique sound.  Got to see it do a couple of touch and go's. Here are a few pics.

That tow bar is a trip, pretty damn  cool to see it.

Sir James...

My father worked on those when he worked at Martin's from the late 40's through the early 60's.
He said that the black powder engine starts where quite the show.

That is your father's airplane in name only. Different engines , no cart starts. The wing has been enlarged twice since the original design, and it operates around 80,000 ft. NASA adapted an F15E lower strut, wheels and brakes so they could continue to operate.

Very cool, never seen one of those before.

It sort of looks like a U2s little brother.

Those are interesting. I've seen them and Nasa's S3b Vikings a couple of times in Cleveland. Very cool.

I bet it's a bitch to land in crosswinds, with that much wing that low.

Oh it's definitely not the original plane by a long shot.
It's come a long way since then.  I like to think of it as a "mature" aircraft.

I believe that was brought back to life at KAPA -Sierra Nevada Corp. I remember seeing parts of it sitting outside the hangar in pieces a few years ago.
