I have been following it's restoration, thought others might appreciate this as well. The restoration group hopes to begin taxi testing and make a
first flight later this year. The B-29 being known as "Doc” being restored in Wichita rolled out of its hangar on Monday in a special delivery ceremony, 70 years to the day after the Wichita-built aircraft was first delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force. http://aviationweek.com/bca/restored-b-29-superfortress-rolls-out-wichita-hangar#slide-0-field_images-1278221   |
