Yup.

Railroads are self insured. This derailment is gonna hurt. A Lot.

Yea, that shit's gotta be insanely expensive.

This is going to affect Boeing too in the form of late penalties in contracts (unless they can pass that off to BNSF)

Three fuselages is two day's production.  Even if the other three fuses that also derailed but didn't go into the water are unuseable, that's only four days production.  A minor annoynance, but not a showstopper.

Some interesting pictures:

Boeing can recuperate some of the losses by selling these fuselages to Aeroflot.

Hahaha!  Good one!

Actually, Boeing is suppose to deliver two -900's every month to Delta but they can't seem to keep up with production.  I'm hoping those fuselages aren't meant for a Delta delivery.

BNSF wont even notice that on their bottom line.

I don't see a break in the window line for the mid door, so I'm going to guess these three are -800 fuses.

Hell, I would have made the world's coolest hunting cabin out of one.  Or a treehouse for the kids.  Or a treehouse for me to get away from the kids...one or the other.
