Note to self, fly someone besides China Air.



My flight instructor used to train pilots from all over the world.  In short his advice was to never, ever fly any of the Asian or middle east airlines

I work foreign student pilots very often, if you go outside of very basic ATC instructions, they have no idea what to say...

I have what I call the "VOA Special English voice" when I flew overseas.

I speak slowly, clearly, and as close to ICAO perfect as I can.

Both LGA and JFK controllers are notoriously hard for Americans to understand. Slangy, jargony and fast.
