I picked up a 5'er of Oliva V Belicoso's on Saturday on CI. They are always on backorder, but I got lucky. You could only buy a 5 pack. They are now out of them again

I specifically went in to buy a box of Carlos Toraño Exodus 1959 Robustos, but he was out. So instead I picked up:
6 x La Aurora 100 Años Belicoso. They aren't making any more of these, so I buy them regularly and selfishly horde them away... 6 x Hoyo de Monterrey 1066 Excalibur Dark Knight II. He was also out of Galahads, so I thought I'd try these. edited: he also had some old Cuban guy in there last night hand-rolling. I didn't know about it, and I wasn't there. But when I paid for my cigars and lunch he went back in to the humidor and grabbed me one. Told me to keep it in the humi for 6 months before I smoke it. He also threw my lunch into the deal. Being a regular there has its benefits! But I'll say when I took that free handrolled cigar out of the bag to put in my humidor, I got this look on my face:  . It seemed a little lighter than I would have expected for the size....

I picked up a Harvest Moon 21 cigar sampler from Holts.
This is what is listed on their site 3 Benchmade Churchill 3 Camacho Corojo Monarca N 3 CAO Brazilia Gol 3 Gran Habano Corojo Robusto 3 La Aroma de Cuba Monarch 3 Padron #5000 N 3 Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Toro I smoked one of the Padron & the Gran Habano already, both were excellent. With tax the sampler was a hair under $70. |

VSGs kick ass. There's a local cigar shop just down the road from where CI planted their new store. My buddy goes to the smaller shop and buys up their VSGs, the store owner is pleased for obvious reasons, my buddy has a large desktop humidor full of VSG.
