Ok time to add a few pictures.
I have been down with the stomach virus again. Ugh.... Ok so here is what I have to this point. Wine cooler out of the box.  I wiped it down with vinegar and distilled water. The plastic smell wasn't too bad, enough to notice though.  The only thing missing was the bolts to bolt the handle on. No dings scratches or bends. Thing was brand new. For 101$ I got a steal of a deal. 2$ in rubber washers and 2 bolts, handle bolted on.  Stuffed with newspaper and let it sit for 2 days. Running Yes it has a light in it. Didn't expect a light still cool.  No more plastic smell and its holding steady at 66ish and 67% humidity.  More to come. Gotta get back into the swing of things first. |

Pic of fan installed on wood shelf.
I am only going to run one as it moves a ton of air. At least Ill have a back up.  or a piece to a future wineador. System is holding steady at 64-66ish and 72% humidity. EDIT: Fan idea scratched. The fan I guess became warm and let off some highly noxious fumes. I had to start over and wipe back down with vinegar and baking soda. Newspaper is in it now. Drawer building will probably start this or next week. |

Ok humidity is now stable and sticks are in.
I dropped it to 60 degrees for now and am slowly raising the temp back to 66. The humidity level spiked when I left it at 66. We have had some rain the past few night so the humidity level around here is high. I had the door open longer than I wanted so Im thinking thats what caused the spike.  |

How do you guys store your sticks?
Do the top shelf favorites go on top, group them by wrapper, flavor, color, maker? I put the ISOM, Padron, Fuente, Opus X, Montecristos on top. The RP, Olivia, Brick House, Papas Fritas etc.. on the second shelf in the back. The JR my favorite cheap everyday stick, on the second and third shelves. I have a ton of these, and I like the have them here aging, instead of in the coolerador down stairs. To be honest the coolerador downstairs may need to be cleaned out and consolidated. I may simplify and just have a desktop humi and the wineador. |

Ok so with the stress of a colicy baby and the stomach bug, my plans for anything "hobby" wise are on hold.
At least until the little booger starts sleeping through the night. I did make a stop at the B&M store and they had a sell on cigar boxes. Price: Free. I picked up 5 of the nicer looking ones. So I peeled the tops off, and then the hardware. I turned the tops upside down and pushed them 3/4 back. Took a finishing nail and nailed them to the bottom. Instant dual shelf setup. Works for now, gets the nice cedar smell.   |
