I was sincerely hoping the self torture would end.  That's a mighty fine stick to rinse your mouth of the "blunt" experineces you've had lately.

Smoked four of those recently, and each cigar was a treat.

Never had a 1926, how do they compare to the 1964's (my all time favorite)?

The 1926 may be my favorite of all.... The 1964 isn't as rich or complex.  The only things I can compare the 1926 to may be the Graycliff Crand Cru after some good time on cedar, or maybe a Rabiano Vegas (ISOM).  It starts awesome, and just gets better all the way to the nub.

The 1964s are spicier

The 1926s are richer and earthier

I just realized something: I've never had a tarring issue with a Padron.  Anyone want to venture a guess as to why that is?

hrm.....could be the quality of the leaf....the commitment to quality....or maybe it's just you.

These are great. I love the 1926 Maduros.

I don't really care for the 1964's.

Yep V cut and it was damn fine.

@Lester hard to compare the two.  They're similar yet different yet both are great.

Just be careful.. Those kind of V-cutters (that come down in an arc) can really mangle the shit out of a cigar as they dull.

I love this cigar.  I stumbled onto it without really knowing what it was a while back.  It is a go to purchase at the local shop if I want to smoke something that day.  It is kind of my ADD cigar since I sometimes need immediate gratification.

Yet another cigar that I smoked in my less educated youth.  I'll have to pick one up and give it a try again.

Awesome. Just bought a gift pack of those for my buddy in the Special Forces.  He just got back from Afghanistan and wanted to get him something as a thank you. Sounds like I made the right choice.

Roger that.  Amy got me a very nice V cutter (German, don't remember the name off hand) but it's still razor sharp.  I've mangled plenty of cigars with dull cutters/punches.

Would that be a SOLINGEN that Amy got you???

Solingen just refers to the city where the blade was made.  I was looking online and the El Casco V-cut cutter looks like the shit.

OK....let me be more specific....Pfeilring of Solingen, Germany....The pearl handled cutter in his "You scheming bastards" thread was what I was refering to....I have it's twin at home....and a zebrawood cousin.
