For the 2010 Cain Tour....they have a new energy drink....read the reviews and decide for yourself......

Me....I will be reaching for SINGLE MALT or a good old Coke (maybe with vanilla when appropriate)....paired with a select smoke of course....

Smoked a Tabacos Baez SF Toro on the way home from work that a local smoke shop had recommended.
Its a Pepin blend so I said sure why not, its only $5. and change. (found them on Famous for about $3 a stick)
Good flavor but had piss poor draw, not much I could do about it although I did clip it twice.
Struggled through about 3/4 of it, the draw never opened up and was giving me a headache.
Also I kept getting little bits of tobacco in my mouth, that's what ya get with short filler
Would I buy another ? Probably not.

Cain F.   One of the first released, think you could only get a 5 pack if you bought a box of regular Cains.

This one has aged well, quite a bit broader flavor profile than what I remember.   Paired w/ harpoon octoberfest

My posts are usually the following day.  My smoking area is nowhere near the computer as cigar smoking in the residence is forbidden.

However

I smoke in my "shed".  This is equipped w/ the beer fridge,  various other booze, reloading equipment, guns, tv, comfy chair & my two heelers.  As an added bonus, the cigar smoke keeps the spouse at bay.  I was able to size a couple hundred .45 cases last night while enjoying my beer & smoke in complete silence.

I guess I should give in & get my own laptop out there but then I'd never come in.

A netbook is about $400.

I'm just throwing that out there.

PORK TENDERLOIN from the pass.....not sure about this one....I will REQUIRE a few more to be certain....

Also...did a AB Prensado this AM....very pissed...after clipping the cap, found a freeking tree trunk inside!!!
No shit!
One damned freeking big stem right in the middle...my Xi snapped right through it but DAMN!!!
So being the guy that I am...lit it up.
Tasted good but that freekin BRANCH bugged the hell out of me.
Totally ruined the stick for me.
This was the second one of these that I had and both had issues...not in the taste but construction.
#1 split the wrapper about 1" in.

Wait till you find a cigar ribbon inside a cigar.  That was exciting.

Thats nasty.

I lit one a few years ago with a thin piece of cedar & failed to realize there was tape on the other side.

The burning plastic flavor was hard to miss....

I may have been drinking.

Thought it was a RP Madura but d@#% I was wrong.
It was an 'Ortez Original' that was cleverly disguised to look like an RP{yes, I was in a hurry to grab a stick and head down the road}.
It started off a bit strong but settled down to a decent pepper spice taste about half way down.
After that, there was a rapid change to the taste of hot road asphalt with hints of oil based drilling mud. Combined with fragrance of Lake Charles morning refinery smell. Which made me pitch it right there.

My dog rocket days are over.

I thought it was great, Burned it to the nub.

I had a couple greycliffs prior (purple band maybe?) that had pretty much turned me off the brand,  have to reconsider

I liked the Toro and the Robusto.....not so much with the Churchill or the Corona Largo...
The Robusto was a little sweeter by my taste.

AND....I have set aside another Camacho PE for tonight after all of the Pinar 2000 discussions....I have that one now...Pinar on Monday with the morning mail (and a knowing little smile from the mail guy...yeah, he knows what is in the box)

my favorite B&M store has those now, I'll get a couple.

Anyway. Tonight a RP ITC. Surprisingly better than anticipated since I didn't enjoy the Indian Tabac sampler I got.

Anything Cohiba that isn't Cuban sucks.  There, I just saved you some money

I spent $22 on a Cohiba Gigante red dot when I first started smoking cigars.  The damn thing looked like one of the old gorilla fingers.

It's in the top two for worst cigars I've ever had.

I walked around town punching hobos for chuckles to make myself feel better after that one.

Just had a vengeance maduro ligero robusto

Burns slow, and wonderful, powerful, and smooth flavor, though did get a touch of sourness near the end, not near enough to ruin the cigar though. I have had one of these before and liked it ok, but this one blew me out of the water. It was a fantastic cigar.
