This morning - Tatuaje Verocu #9
Will benefit from some time in the humidor though.

Just smoked a  Tatuaje HCS #1 Robusto Larga fresh out of the box.
These also need some time in the humidor.

Kristoff maduro from the premium cigar pass.
Very good cigar, I will be picking up a few more of these.
Only downside to smoking it this evening was that it got frikkin cold out, around 45 degrees so I had to fight off a few shivers.

I'll apologize right now to Slavac and Woden for the photo quality, but I only had a cellphone.
Nub Camaroon and a windy afternoon with the boy at the playground.
I have a couple of boxes of these little numbers and I love the flavors.  They start with a spicy bang, then keep a wonderful smoked meat taste throughout with earthy mushrooms overtones.  The draw is easy and flawlessly even, not many veins [on really any that I've had] and even a light puff is enough to fill your mouth and leave a wonderful currant flavor on the inside of the cheeks.
The middle third is wholly a beef flavor when I hold the cigar at the top of my mouth and draw the smoke in and across the roof.  I like to accept light puffs on strong monsters like these and it's easy to maintain with such a cool and easy draw.

The ash wanted to hang on for the first inch-and-a-half but was hindering the burn, so it had to go.  It was such a pretty stack of nickels too.
The last quarter was just as fine as the first, lots of light grey smoke from light puffs (even after I dropped it while playing tag) and the currant flavor gives way to a wonderful and clean smoked cherry taste.    That dark bitter cherry flavor at the end drives me wild and it's usually joined by a light peppery tinge at the top-back of the mouth on the retro.   I normally smoke these all the way down to about a half-inch and this one was no exception to the rule.
The best thing about this smoke was the fact that I had two other fathers drooling while they watched.
I had two bowls of chili and some water before I lit this booger.  I think it would pair well with dark red wines, rare steaks or Texas-style barbecue.  I'm dying to try one after a recipe I found for steak with black raspberries.
As always, your mileage may vary.

That said, I really don't care for that cigar.  The maduro is better (IMO) with the Cain Nub being the best of the Nub Line.

...

We definitely have differences in some tastes.  You actually like the CAO Brasilia, while I abhor it.

But I do have you to blame for my current Camacho trip maduro fetish.

If you want me to keep reviews somewhere else, I can do that.

Can do.  Too easy.

I'll start it tomorrow after I dust my thesaurus off.

601 Green, Johnny Walker Red.

I much prefer single malt, but the 601 makes a mediocre scotch taste a little better.

Benchmade & camacho havana. Both excellent smokes, quite suprised with the benchmade  I was drinking large amouts of miller out of a can while working at my hunting camp & these helped.

Famous 3000 w/ some Harpoon Octoberfest to finish the night

I like them. Burned OK, no issues.

But I do find that with the longer cigars I have to draw more deeply for the first third or so.

In the future I going to go with robusto or toro sized sticks.

I bought these because they were on sale.

AF Rosada S/G Magnum.

First time having one of these. I really enjoyed it. The new band caught my eye, and I had to try one.

Well constructed, nice even burn. Tastes of leather and cedar, with a bit of pepper. Medium strength cigar overall.

At half the price of a Don Carlos, this will make a great everyday cigar.
