Start where it visually makes the most sense.
If you start in the middle, are you gonna have a 2" rip on one side and a 10" rip on the other, or are you gonna have to cut a hole in the middle of a tile for the toilet flange? I always lay out tile to make sure I don't make it harder on my self than it needs to be. Big tiles are in. Also plank sized tiles. Its totaly a personal preference. |

Small tiles make a bathroom seem bigger than it is. Big tiles make a bathroom seem smaller than it is.

I always start my tiles so that the outer tiles is even on both sides.
