Man, Rotten Tomatoes gives it four stars and a "Fresh" rating. The WaPo reviewer liked it as well, something about it being a cross between American Kong movies and the Japanese monster movies.

I want to go and we are supposed to go to a dinner and movie with friends but the wife of the other couple is adamant no Kong.
So instead, I'll probably get stuck watching Get Out or Fist Fight.

Enjoyed the movie. It had that Apocalypse Now vs monsters vibe.
