So much win in this series. I was disappointed when I heard production was delayed last season due to an actor being injured. It's a very physical, action packed series.

this show is the reason i had to have a vz58 in my collection lol
happy to see it back, sad to see it go. |

Best show on TV. Sucks it's the last season.
What's not to like, great gun fights and lots of sex. |

Quoted: I thought it doesn't start back until the end of July. View Quote Correction: Strike Back Legacy is premiering already. Which is the same as Season 5 of Strike Back (US). So basically it's already airing overseas and you can start watching it before the end of next month. |

Gotcha. Thanks for the headsup
Let us know how you like it. Eta: UK Series titles Strike Back (SB:Origins in the US) Project Dawn Vengeance Shadow Warfare Legacy |

Agreed... Kinda funny a Brit show is one of the best gun shows on TV ATM. They have pretty good weapons handling and exhibited some fluid reloads in earlier seasons. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I just started watching this (I'm up to season 1, ep 7) and it's pretty good doggone good action. It's like if 24 was a team operating out of England. The storyline started small and has grown over the 7 eps I've seen so far.
Sex is bordering on soft core porn, I could do without that. Shoot, I could probably get the wife into the show if it wasn't for that. A positive: whoever does the weapons handling/training on the show is excellent. I chuckled when I found out that the lead Brit was played by an American, and the lead horndog American ... is played by an Aussie. |

Kinda weird seeing andrew lincoln in this compared to the walking dead.

I didn't need a warning... Just prefer to not watch sexually explicit material is all. Tasteful nudity suggesting sex is one thing - like how they show the Brit in the episodes I've seen. Partial nudes, no pretending to "put it in" like a later episode. It doesn't have to be this way. It's something you have to overlook if you're not too into seeing that. It detracts from what I think is a pretty cool story IMHO. edit: And I fast forward through the credits anyway so even that wouldn't have been a "warning". |

Well, I guess this isn't the show for you then. Seeing as it ramps up significantly in the following seasons. |

*shrug* I only said that part is not for me is all. Could be an even better show if they cut back on the sex.
This is my opinion, if your opinion is that the show is perfect, rock on. |

I'll admit, the sex/nudity is a bit distracting at first. It generally feels super-pandering ('well, we've got some guns, now we need to fit in some tits') but eventually it just becomes part of the episode. Even though it's predictable and formulaic. (The guys meet a hot action chick, obviously Scott's going to have a softcore encounter with her in twenty minutes.)
I'm glad there's another season, but wish we could have gotten more. The production values are pretty stunning, considering they only spend what, 3 million an episode? And I really love the episode/season format. It's like having a whole series of fun action movies every year. |

View Quote Imagine what Star Trek (original series) remake would look like if Sky/ Cinemax, HBO, or Showtime produce it? Captain Kirk would get busy every episode. Sgt Scott is the shows equivalent of Captain Kirk. This doesn't bother me since I consider the show to be male fantasy, and part of the fantasy includes sampling all the goods in the harem. Regarding which season you're watching, is it the Cinemax/Sky's 1st season (project Dawn,) or is it the original series Chris Ryan's Strike Back (aka Strike Back Origins?) I'd watch Origins first, since that is the original first season. Regarding the series, I like to recognize actors I've in other TV series. Lots of Game of Thrones actors appear (every actor in the UK is employed by either series), and Origins has Thorin Oakenshield from the Hobbit interacting with Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead. |

Three episodes into the new season and it's already full of non-stop action from the start. I think they want to go out with a bang for the final season. This might be the best one yet.

I have all the episodes on my computer so when I get caught up with other shows, I'll start it. I'm really excited for it.

Yea, I like the show a lot. Watched Two seasons free on Amazon
Prime. Anyone know where to get the third season? |

Already saw several episodes from this season overseas. Great season although it's a bummer partway in.

Since it iis the final season, I expect there will be some deaths of main characters.
I like how the first episode opened. When I see images of Thailand, I think of the Jame Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun. |

Yes, best weapons handling on TV, even if some of the guns seem to have infinite boolits. |

Quoted: The US releases have been fucked up. Season 3 was just released (in Aug) here on DVD and paid streaming even though it finished its run 2 years ago. The UK had a DVD set available in early 2014. Season 4? Who knows when it'll be released here. It's still airing isn't it? Meanwhile, I've had the UK dvd set for weeks now. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5636/20041450174_e5ba3fa19a_z.jpg Great show. I'm going to miss it. I had a bunch of them saved on the dvr that I had not watched yet. DRV died and I lost them all.
Maybe Cinamax will rerun all of them on a HBO free preview weekend again. That's how I got them in the first place. This show is what the old Rysher productions Soldier of Fortune Inc should have been. |

I found a region free player on Amazon for $40. It's been worth it to me since it not only let me watch Strike Back waaay before I otherwise would have seen it, but I also got the UK Tour of Duty dvd sets that have original broadcast music. Which is actually the real reason I got the player to begin with. |
