Sold my '90 skyline and picked up this Gt500

Car has about 5,500 miles on it now and is in amazing condition. It was completely stock when I got it but now sports a Borla Atak catback. I also have some suspension parts in the garage, just waiting on my panhard bar.

Here are just a few pictures of it by itself and a few with my roomates cts-v he just picked up. All photos are by him.

Two cellphone pictures

And a video, not sure how to embed, sorry.

Nice buy, I was looking at those before I bought my LS3 Corvette.  Checkout the Roush gas shock hood struts so you can get rid of Ford's cheap ass prop rod.

Looks good and a signed dash!

Thanks!

I love vettes, before my last mustang I was looking at c5 z's but went mustang instead. I'll be getting hood struts for sure, you would think Ford would have made that a factory thing.

Pretty neat. Yeah work on putting the power to the ground before you start in with pulleys and all that. The ones before the 2010 refresh seem to have a slightly worse reputation for traction.

Nice car.

Once my 15 is paid off I am likely going to buy a cheap 65 for cash and then likely sell my 2005 GT and buy a nice 07-08 GT500 in silver.   Hopefully decent condition older GT500s will be in the mid 25s in another 2-3 years.

It is that or rebuild my 3v and put an Eforce supercharger on it.

Having owned an '06 Mustang GT...  Sell the GT and get the GT500 now.  You'll thank me later.
I picked up an 08 with 17,000 miles on it last year for $28K.
It had a 2.9 liter Whipple and H&R coil overs, Magnaflow catback, and 19" FRPP wheels.

I'd pass on spending anymore money on the 3v. Those things are dogs.

Either get a gt500 or an 03/04 cobra. Coming from someone who has had 4 99-04 cars, I can't explain how much nicer the s197 cars are. The comfort level and layout of everything is much nicer.

You're like me. I'd have no problem going from JDM to muscle car and vice versa. It's good to see some being diverse with their choice of cars.

Kinda funny, I used to own a 2010 GT500. I'm also craving a skyline ever since they hit 25 years old. Actually, I've been wanting one since I first watched 2 fast 2 furious...

Awesome!  Mustang week is just around the corner.  Go out and run over a few people just for practice!

Already have a 95 Cobra and the 15 GT Perf Pack.   It is really a trip to start my week in the SN95 and progress through the degades to wind up in the 15 by the end of the week.    All told my SN95 is the slowest of them all but also the most fun as well as most abused.

The 05 3v isnt that bad.   Rebuild and a blower at close to 500hp and I would be pretty happy.   I dont need retarded levels of power and if I did then a blown Coyote would be quick/easy.

Only reason to get an older GT500 is a bit of exclusivity and to have another Cobra with the more unique front end.   The 5.4 wouldnt hold a candle to my 15 if I went blown on my Coyote.

It isnt neccessarily about going super fast.   If that was the case my 95 would be gone in favor of a cheap C5 Z06.

If the right GT500 comes along I am considering it.

Had the exact same car but 2009. Bought it brand new in 09. Did tunes, intake, Mickey Thompson et streets, and muffler deletes. Fun car but traded it in 2 years later towards my 2012 Ram 3500. Once the 600+ factory HP gt500s came out with aluminum blocks I felt kinda sad.

Nice GT500. Great color choice.
